Campus Guide

As a CELUSA/SAIBT student at UniSA, you will have access to a variety of programs and services outside the classroom that will give you the opportunity to meet students, explore your interests and most importantly to have fun!

We have compiled some information to help you in your first weeks at CELUSA/SAIBT. Think of it as your Campus Guide!

How to Get To CELUSA and SAIBT

SAIBT is based in the historic Brookman Building on the City East campus of the University of South Australia (UniSA), right in the heart of central Adelaide.

CELUSA is located on the City West Campus of UniSA, about one kilometre west of City East Campus, at the opposite end of North Terrace.

The City East and City West campus are serviced by many of the main bus routes, with other main stops no more than two blocks away. The railway station is only a ten minute walk away, so any bus or train into the city brings you within close walking distance of both campuses.

Bus Information

The City Loop bus 99C provides free transport between the City East Campus (stop 10 or 28), Railway Station (stop 8 or 25), City West Campus (stop 6,7,22 or 23) and Victoria Square.

Train Information

All trains from the suburbs stop at the Adelaide Railway Station. City East and City West campuses are a ten minute walk from the Railway Station. You can also catch the free City Loop bus 99C from stop 8 at the front of the Railway Station.

Tram Information

The trams stop at Rundle Mall, King William Street and the Adelaide Train Station, North Terrace. The City East campus is about a 10 minute walk away.

You can also catch the free City Loop bus 99C from the City West stop to stop 28, near the City East campus.

Parking

Car parking can be scarce in the city centre so public transport is recommended.

Further information about Adelaide’s public transport services can be found at: www.adelaidemetro.com.au

Make sure you have used your student ID to buy your travel cards from a newsagency or transport office.

Don’t Get Lost!

Check out this virtual tour! You won’t get lost again!

Student ID Cards

Your student ID card is used in the library, for printing and photocopying, for building access and as ID during exams.

You can order your student ID card online. If you are a new student you will need to collect your student ID card at campus because we need to see photo ID (e.g. driver licence) to verify your identity. If you are ordering a replacement card we can mail by post as you have already been verified.

Food Glorious Food!

After studying hard you can be a bit hangry (hungry-angry)! Settle this with a quick bite to eat from one of the various restaurants, coffee shops and quick food outlets on campus!

  • Aroma Cafe
  • The Caf
  • Brekky Bar
  • West Bar

Want to Connect to the Internet While on Campus?

UniSA has wireless internet all over the campus. This can be accessed through your university login details. Some of the more accessible areas include:

  • Library hotspot and computers
  • Student computer labs, some of which are open 24 hours
  • Classrooms

Social Fun

There are many Clubs and Societies at UniSA, all formed around different interests and studies! Clubs and Societies are a great way to learn and socialise at the same time. Plus, the practical skills you develop as a committee member look impressive on your CV!

Clubs cover a huge range of interests and provide you with information, the chance to make new friends and attend events.

College Societies help you meet students in your course or college. They also provide social, career, and academic events.
